Well you know where I stand on the issue. And I do believe we can get the police presence we need *IF* Natomas residents get up in arms and demand the city send us the cops we are paying EXTRA for. So far, N Natomas residents have handled the city with kid gloves and been very tolerant. We have to have a no-more-mister-nice-gal/guy approach now or they are going to continue to walk all over us. I am not sure about KJ's judgment in the past, but I do know this: He knows more about our community and the crime here than Fargo does. Will he follow through? We're not going to give him a choice... right? :)

Joe, all I can say is that since living in Natomas (South first, then North), I have been the victim of non-violent crimes multiple times. Prior to that, I was not. So, in summary - 40 years no crime, 6 years many crimes. That says to me that Natomas specifically is high crime in my mind from my perspective. Also, no one I know has been untouched by crime who lives in Sacramento.

When the only police contact one might have after having everything you own stolen, for example, is that you call in a report, I mean, what does that tell us? It says no one cares or there are too few officers, or the OTHER more serious crimes are so rampant we're never going to get that Sheriff Andy thing going on here.
